lsusb

in this state, venus vt 18 still can not be used as a modem in ubuntu linux, you try to eject this modem, do I right-click> eject

Then again you type lsusb in the terminal, the result will be different

Well if it is not Qualcomm again, it means your modem will soon be ready for use, then you type the following commands, remember still pass in ubuntu linux terminal

sudo modprobe usbserial vendor = 0x1d09 product = 0x4306

Done, ready to use your modem, you stay for a connection through network manager completed.
